We host workshops & training with some of the best yoga teachers from around the world. For many people going to a workshop or a training can seem like a hugely scary thing. Questions of ‘am I good enough at yoga?’, ‘have I been practising for long enough?’ or ‘will I feel out of place? start to come up, in the end we can all too easily get talked out of it. If you’re worried about going to a workshop on your own, why don’t you encourage a friend to come along with you and share the experience? And one last thing, we’d love to hear any feedback you have on our current workshop/training we are offering at Repose.

Monthly Sound Bath Meditation

Join our deeply relaxing 90 minute Sound Bath experiences, led by sound therapist Christine. Allow yourself to unwind as the soothing vibrations of Himalayan and crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, drums and many more wash over you-  guiding you into a state of deep rest and calm.

What to Expect

  • A 90 minute deeply immersive sound meditation.

  • A beautiful space to release, relax and rebalance.

  • Essential oil roller balls and oracle cards to enhance your experience.

What to Bring: 

  • Wrap up warm! When you are in a relaxed state your body temperature will drop so make sure to wear warm comfortable clothes, and cosy socks.

  • Cushion/ pillow- For behind your head (There are yoga bolsters available in the studio for behind your knees)

  • Warm blanket- I like to use two- one to lie on, and a second to cover myself (There are light blankets available in the studio) 

  • Yoga mats will be provided but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. 

  • Bottle of water. 

  • Anything else you need to make yourself comfortable.

While we live in a world that can feel often restricting and conflicting, the one thing that is solely ours is our bodies. With an overload of conflicting information on how to move, feel, be, eat, live the overwhelming sensations can have us turn our heads and feel lost in a deep confusion when actually it’s more simple than we realise. We have lived in these bodies for a lifetime which qualifies us to know ourselves better than anyone. Embodiment is the teaching of just that. How to live in your body fully and wholly just as you are. Learn to move with you, to unravel yourself into the freedom of movement, in your own individual way. Expressive, rooted, strong, calm. This is the pathway to full embodiment of self.

  • An exploration of many movement patterns that have shaped our way over the years of physical growth and which connect to one another.

    Unbound and unraveled we celebrate our individual bodies natural movement patterns while extending them back to the original source and honouring movement traditions. Grounded and rerouted we cultivate a curious mind, to listen, learn and explore.

    Day 1: Workshop 4hrs includes a 30 mins break

    Unravel i ~ perspective, playful coordination, connective movement patterns.

    In this workshop we will expand the minds ability to see wider and dive deeper. Enhancing our coordination skills so we can have freedom within movement. Unraveling the connection between different movement patterns, our individual bodies and minds.

    Day 2 : Workshop 4hrs includes a 30 mins break

    Unravel u ~ layered sequences, floor work & expressive movement .

    In this workshop we will explore how to create a layered sequence without thought, rather feel our way which offers much fun and creativity. We will take a wider look at floor work and its importance within our everyday growth and adaptability while rerouting to unravel yourself fully through expression.

    Movement combinations: Yoga, Qi Gong, floor work & playful somatic tools.

    Open to all levels as you will be working with your individual body.

20 Hours Restorative Yoga Training

Yoga WITH SUZANNE O SULLIVAN All hours bankable toward your Katonah Yoga® Certification. 

In this training we will touch upon all aspects of the Katonah Yoga method including:

  • How to start and end and teach a restorative class, timing & sequencing

  • Dealing with Injuries and teaching privates & how to support people in the pose.
