Events & Training .
We host workshops & training with some of the best yoga teachers from around the world. For many people going to a workshop or a training can seem like a hugely scary thing. Questions of ‘am I good enough at yoga?’, ‘have I been practising for long enough?’ or ‘will I feel out of place? start to come up, in the end we can all too easily get talked out of it. If you’re worried about going to a workshop on your own, why don’t you encourage a friend to come along with you and share the experience? And one last thing, we’d love to hear any feedback you have on our current workshop/training we are offering at Repose.

HE WAY OF THE WARRIOR
An Immersive Weekend of Human IntelligenceWith Lisa Shaw
October 17 & 18 | 12pm–4pm
Two days of yoga, martial arts and movement exploration designed to help you move with greater awareness, adaptability and freedom.
The Way of the Warrior is an immersive two-part movement workshop exploring how different movement practices complement one another and tap into the natural intelligence of the human body.
Across the weekend, we’ll bring together yoga, martial arts, mobility and coordination, exploring how each discipline can support and deepen the others.
At the heart of the weekend is Shoshin — the beginner’s mind. It is the practice of approaching something with openness, curiosity and without preconceptions. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, you are encouraged to remain curious — there is always something new to discover about the way your body moves.
Come for one workshop or experience the full weekend. All levels are welcome.

Ayurvedic Autumn Cleanse Sunday 25th October
12–3pm/3:30pm With Amy Charlie
As summer begins to soften into autumn, Ayurveda invites us to slow down, ground and prepare the body for the colder, darker months ahead.
Autumn is the season of Vata — the dosha of air and space, movement and change. As Vata carries us out of the warmth of summer and towards Kapha, the energy of deep winter, this is a beautiful time to create warmth, steadiness and nourishment within.
Join us for a nourishing Ayurvedic Autumn Cleanse Workshop, designed to support this seasonal transition, pacify Vata and prepare body and mind for the months ahead.
Together we’ll explore warming and grounding Ayurvedic practices, seasonal rituals, gentle movement and breathwork to support digestion, calm the nervous system and encourage a deeper sense of balance.
We’ll gather for a warming tea ceremony, with time to connect, meet the community and share in the experience together, before moving into the heat of the sauna and invigorating cold of the ice bath — a ritual of warmth, contrast and renewal.
You’ll also leave with the guidance you need to continue with a supportive 7-day Ayurvedic seasonal cleanse at home.
A chance to pause, reset and turn inward — moving with the rhythms of nature as we transition from the expansiveness of summer towards the stillness of winter. 🍁

Winter invites us inward. Within the Katonah framework, the kidneys speak to our waters, our fluency, fluidity and equilibrium. They sit at the midpoint of the body and offer us a way to explore balance, stability and how we move through changing circumstances.

at Repose Yoga
Join Suzanne for a 12-hour winter exploration of Katonah Yoga®, blending theory and practice through an embodied, hands-on experience.losophy, Katonah Yoga teaches that when one thing changes, everything changes. The practice invites us to get honest about where we are and clear about where we want to go.
Through metaphor, geometry and measured technique, we’ll explore how the architecture of the body can support greater ease. The relationship between the feet, knees, hips, lower back and kidneys gives us a practical framework for finding stability without rigidity, creating space for the body’s natural waves and allowing our waters to settle.
The kidneys are also associated with hearing and our sense of physical safety. We’ll explore the practice of listening circumferentially, becoming more aware of what is around us, what is behind us and what we may not be able to see. In this way, the practice becomes not only something we do on the mat, but a way of becoming more informed in how we inhabit our lives.
The more integrated we are in one area, the more informed and balanced we become in all others.
Ultimately, what we devote our time and attention to becomes the practice.

Each day will have its own focus and build upon the last, creating a cohesive and insightful deep dive into the Katonah framework, with a particular emphasis on the winter body, the kidneys, equilibrium and our waters.
